This page explains how the app “IceNote” (the “App”), provided by Lumicode, handles your information.
1. Information we collect
To save and sync your practice records, the App collects the following. We do not collect real names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdays or face photos.
- Information you enter: the skater’s display name (we recommend a nickname), how you use the App (skater or parent), test system and current level, favorite elements, practice sessions (date, ice time, session type, counts of landings and falls per element, how it felt, notes, rink), skate and blade names, start dates and sharpening dates, and favorite rinks
- Account identifiers: you start with an anonymous user ID. If you link an Apple or Google account in Settings, that account’s identifier — and, for Google, your email address — is stored in Firebase Authentication (for Apple, the App requests neither your name nor your email)
- Usage data: counts of in-app actions (starting and saving a session, tapping elements, logging a sharpening, opening a rink’s website, etc.), device model, OS version, app version and approximate region (Firebase Analytics)
- Diagnostics: crash logs and device information when the App crashes (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Purchases: your IceNote Pro subscription status (active, trial, expiry) and purchase history. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive card numbers or other payment details
- Feedback: what you send from “Report a bug or send feedback”, with the app and OS versions — and your email address only if you enter one to get a reply
2. How we use it
- To save your records, show statistics, and restore them on a new device or after reinstalling
- To remind you when blade sharpening is due
- To check your IceNote Pro subscription and restore it on a new device
- To improve the App and fix bugs
- To respond to your inquiries and bug reports
The App shows no ads and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We never sell your information.
3. Third-party services
The App uses Firebase by Google (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics and Crashlytics). Your records are stored on Google’s servers in the Tokyo region. See Firebase Privacy and Security and the Google Privacy Policy. Signing in with Apple or Google uses those companies’ services. IceNote Pro subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat, which receives your subscription status and purchase history along with your anonymous user ID (RevenueCat Privacy Policy).
4. Information kept only on your device
- Notifications: sharpening reminders are scheduled on your device. We ask for notification permission only when you first log a sharpening or similar
- Session drafts: an in-progress session is saved on your device so you can resume it if the App closes
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. Storage with the services in section 3 is done only to provide the App’s features.
6. Retention and deletion
Your records are kept until you delete them. You can delete your account and all data — skaters, practice sessions, skates and sharpening records — at any time from More → Settings → Delete account and data. Deletion cannot be undone. If you can’t open the App, contact us at the address below.
Usage and diagnostic data are deleted after a period set in Firebase (up to 14 months).
7. Children
The App is designed to log practice for skaters, including children. To minimize what we collect, we do not store birthdays or face photos and recommend using nicknames. If a child under 13 uses the App, a parent or guardian should set it up and manage it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted so that only you (and people you choose to share with) can read or write your records.
9. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and notify you in the App for significant changes.
