Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This page explains how the app “Choo-Choo: Railroad Crossing” (Japanese title: ふみきりポッポ, “the App”) handles user information.
Information the developer collects
The developer does not collect any information about users. No account or sign-in is required, and the developer runs no server for the App.
Information stored on your device
Your progress (how many trains you have watched, which trains are unlocked, the selected train, the day / evening / night setting, sound on or off, and whether “Remove Ads” has been purchased) is stored only on your device. It is never sent to the developer and is deleted when you delete the App. If device backup (such as iCloud Backup) is turned on, it may be included in the backup like other data on the device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep the App free, it uses Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google LLC. To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect the following information and send it to Google:
- Approximate location estimated from your IP address
- Device information such as device type, OS version and language setting
- Records of ad views and taps, and app diagnostics (such as crashes)
This information is handled according to Google’s policies. For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
No tracking (settings for children)
The App is made for children, so it treats every user as a child.
- It does not ask for permission to track you (“Allow Apps to Request to Track”) and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Ad requests are marked as child-directed, so no personalized (interest-based) ads are shown
- Ad content is limited to the General (G) rating
In regions where consent is required by law, such as the EEA and the UK, Google’s consent form is shown before any ads.
Where ads appear
A banner at the top of the screen, an occasional full-screen ad when the crossing gates have fully risen, and a video ad when the user chooses “Watch a video to call the next train”.
In-app purchases (Remove Ads, Truck Pack)
After purchasing “Remove Ads” (one-time purchase), no ads are shown and no ad requests are made. The “Truck Pack” (one-time purchase) unlocks the remaining vehicles in Trucks mode and does not involve any user information. Payment is handled by Apple’s App Store; the developer never receives your payment information. The purchase screen opens only after a parent check (a multiplication question).
Sharing with third parties
Because the developer does not collect user information, none is shared with third parties. For information Google obtains to show ads, see “Advertising (Google AdMob)” above.
Children’s privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. As described above, ads are also shown with settings for children.
Changes to this policy
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page and take effect when posted.
